Best Type Of Shoes To Wear For Zumba
Perfect Dance Aerobic Shoe
I had worn Rykas back when I was doing Jazzercise, so I was familiar with them. I normally wear a 7.5 B and that is what I ordered. Perfect fit, plenty of room for toes and comfortable on heel. Using them for Zumba and dance aerobics and have plenty of support for the bouncing and jumping and yet very light and easy to move across the floor, even on carpet. Really like the pivot spot on the soles. Colors are terrific, bright and energetic! I had looked at and tried on other brands’ dance aerobics shoes (Nike, Reebok, etc.) but they just didn’t feel “right” on my feet. Happy with my choice and would do it again.
Comfortable, arch support and no slipping heel!
I’ve used these shoes for recumbent bike, Zumba and circuit training. The arch support is great, the ball of my foot doesn’t get numb on the bike and the heel doesn’t slip–even with lunges. This is my favorite workout shoe. However, I tried to use the circle on the bottom of the shoe for spin turns in Zumba on wood floor and on tile–no dice. However, as comfortable as these are with the arch support and forefoot cushioning, I’d much rather have that than a shoe that spins around. I have a pair of Bloch’s that spin with no problem…and get tendonitis every time I use them! I’m getting rid of the Bloch’s and getting another pair of these! I wear an 8.5 in sandals, slides or other sockless shoes. In workout shoes, I generally go up a half size or a full size to accommodate plush socks. These I went up to 9.5 and it’s comfortable, but could probably go with a 9.0 on the next pair.
I purchased these for Zumba & they are perfect for my needs. The tread pattern works well for pivots while gripping firmly for side to side movement. The toe box is a little wide so it created a crease that took a few days to break in or get used to, but after a short time they are now the most comfortable sneakers I have ever owned! (I am not paid or compensated in any way for these comments. This is my honest opinion & experience, just so you know.)
I was hesitant to buy shoes online that I have never tried on. I have a very high arch, and somewhat wide feet. Usually, finding an athletic shoe that fits well is a search for the holy grail. Well, I can hardly believe it, but these shoes fit just fine. After reading all the reviews, I decided to go up half a size. That worked out perfectly for me. I would prefer more arch support, but I do have especially high arches, and never have luck in that department. I have used these shoes for 3 zumba classes this week, and my feet were not sore. The shoes allowed me to pivot easily, and I was able to get through the class without any ankle or knee pain. Previously, I was using running shoes, and those were not working out at all. I recommend these Ryka shoes, they are great! As a bonus, I got several compliments on how great they look, too.
They are so great for Zumba and for other gym activities
This is my second pair of Influence style. They are so great for Zumba and for other gym activities. It has the pivot circle on the sole but is a little bit wider across the ball of foot, unlike the Grafik style ( which I also own) . I like the stability of the wider sole at the ball of foot so you cannot roll your foot by accident. The foot bed is only slightly padded. The tongue is padded, unlike the Deliberate, Love these shoes for fit and style.
Great Cross Trainer For Gym Classes
I bought these shoes to wear for classes at the gym. I had been using my old Saucony runners, which are adorable and I love them, but they just don’t have enough arch support for me, after a couple years’ struggle with Plantar Fasciitis. I have worn them for Kettlebells, Zumba, Cycling, Treadmill (mostly walking and jogging), Weight Training, and Elliptical. They are very comfortable, with no break in period. They fit perfectly, and provide good support for my PF. Before the gym closed down due to COVID-19, I’d say I wore them around the gym and at classes at least a dozen times. They show no signs of wear and remain comfortable.
